Why Choose Me as Your Nutritionist & Guide?
HEAL
Given an appropriate environment, diet, and lifestyle, every person has the potential to heal. Identifying nutrient deficiencies, balancing blood sugar and hormones will be my initial approach. These recommendations should be complementary to working with a behavioral therapist in addressing eating disorders.
Education & Experience
My education and experience provide the background to support your healing process. As a Board-Certified Nutritionist with a Master’s degree in Health and Nutrition Education, I have been trained to analyze each situation, to identify the positives that should be maintained, and to identify areas which can be improved. All this can be accomplished while guiding you toward your greatest potential.
Empathy
It can be beneficial to work with an individual who has experienced depression, anxiety, overwhelming panic and/or an eating disorder. Since I have dealt with these issues, this personal experience allows for compassion, relatedness and a wisdom gained in my own healing process. Everyone’s path to recovery is unique. I understand how complex and frustrating it can be to heal.
Some of my client’s top health concerns:
-
Histamine Intolerance/MCAS
-

-

TESTIMONIALS
“Working with Shawn Feldman has made me set a new bar for what nutritionists can and should do for their patients. Shawn believes that nutrition is one of the most powerful levers in your health and she has the depth of knowledge to help her clients understand it and use it effectively.
She is a deeply compassionate practitioner who, through years of continuous study and her own remarkable healing journey, has gained profound insight into the healing process. She has also helped me to understand that food and nutrition must be used in conjunction with other modalities and lifestyle modifications. And she has given me substantive guidance in identifying those that I needed.
She is patient and kind and very adept at explaining complex systems that impact our health, which was critical when I was suffering from brain fog. I can not recommend her highly enough."

“Shawn opened my eyes to the relationship between my anxiety and caffeine intake. She provided resources and supported me through the steps to decreasing my coffee intake over time. Through this process her kindness and compassion really shined. I felt so supported and seen by her. Now I don’t drink caffeine at all and my anxiety has decreased significantly. My anxiety finally feels manageable for the first time in a long time! Shawn’s understanding of the nuances of nutrient deficiencies was apparent in the plan she created for me. She also provided me with a delicious salmon recipe that has become one of my weekly staple dinners. I am forever grateful to Shawn, her support, and her holistic nutrition lens."
